What is Artificial Intelligence?

John McCarthy, father of AI, said that Artificial Intelligence is “The science and engineering to make intelligent machines, particularly computer programs,”

AI, as the name implies, is the transfer of intelligence to machines so that they operate like humans. AI is a branch of computer science that focuses on creating intelligent machines that operate and react just like humans. Artificial Intelligence is used to make decisions by computers that take into account real-time scenarios. Artificially Intelligent machines read real-time data and understand the business scenario before reacting accordingly.

These are some of the activities for which artificially intelligent machines were designed:

  • Speech recognition
  • Learning
  • Plan
  • Problem-solving

AI is now a key component of Information Technology. This branch is focused on creating intelligent machines. AI is a highly technical and specialized field of research.

Coding and programming computers to perform certain functions, such as, are the biggest issues with AI.

  • Perception
  • Learning
  • Plan

Capacity to manipulate

AI is the process of turning a computer into an AI-controlled robot, or creating software that thinks and responds just like a human being thinks.

To use AI to create intelligent systems, one must understand how the brain works. It is important to understand how the brain works while solving problems. To develop intelligent and smart systems, you must apply the results to the software.

Knowledge Engineering is the core concept behind AI research. AI can only operate, react and act like humans if it has enough information about the business and the world. AI must have all information about all objects, properties, relationships, and business use cases in order to implement Knowledge Engineering efficiently. It is not easy and tedious to teach machines common sense, reasoning, problem-solving ability, and decision making.

Philosophy of Artificial Intelligence

Since the beginning of time, man has used computer systems. Although machines have been a great help to humans, the human mind has always wanted to explore these slaves. Man was curious to know if machines could think and function like human beings.

AI was created with the goal of creating machines that behave and react like humans.

Intelligent and expert systems are created. These machines will be expected to learn, demonstrate, explain, and advise its users.

Inculcate human intelligence in the machines by creating systems and software that behave, think, learn, and understand like humans.
